The Tornadoes played a 1-1 tie with Plainview-Old Bethpage away on Sunday, Oct. 28. The team played an outstanding game on a field full of potholes and rough areas. The game was primarily dominated by the Tornadoes taking many more shots on goal and corner kicks than their opponents. Gabby Sirow and Kate Harrison played exceptional goalies for the Tornadoes. The defensive squad comprising Alex Huerfano, Erika Reckert, Jackie Bruscella, Merri Chesler and Samantha Sternbach were inspirational! Midfielders Amy Sanjanwala, Gabrielle Lamberta, Cloe LaBranche, Darla Boccio plus Stacey Estrada and Aileen Hogarty (new additions to the team from East Meadow) were very effective in feeding the ball to forwards Natasha LaBranche, Samantha Smith and Elena Albanese.

Fall 2001 Intramural Season Ends
The fall 2001 intramural season is quickly coming to an end and for my liking much too soon! The team Billy Gouse and I am fortunate to coach will be missed after our game on Nov. 10, our final battle! We had a great season, we played, we learned, we had lots of fun and we made new friends!
