Island Properties Plan Imminent
Island Properties plan for Oyster Bay is almost ready to be unveiled. That was the statement of Island Properties President Abraham Poznanski at the Oct. 25 meeting of the Main Street Association of Oyster Bay. It was said as Mr. Poznanski discussed the three phases of the IP plans.

The Italian Political Experience
The Oyster Bay Historical Society's newest exhibition, "The Italian-American Experience in Oyster Bay," at the Society's home, the historic Earle-Wightman house, opened on Sunday, Oct. 21. Preceding the opening was a roundtable discussion of "The Rise of the Italian-American Politician" at the Oyster Bay Community Center.

OBHS Track Team Runs in 5K Race
The Oyster Bay Track Team took part in the Oyster Festival Supervisor's 5K Run. The race took place on Saturday, Oct. 13, and kicked off the annual festival that benefits local nonprofits. Oyster Bay Track Team participants were Jesse Abrahams, Mark Mitchell, Raf Nieves, Amanda Edel, Linda Bradley, Jessica Panagos, Katie Lalonde and Jeannie Wurtz. Oyster Bay elected officials who greeted the young athletes: Town Clerk Martha Offerman, Supervisor John Venditto, Receiver of Taxes James Stefanich, Councilman Leonard Symons (who took part in the run again); Mary Durkin of State Bank of Long Island (a sponsor of the event); and Kiwanian Jack Williams of Glen Head.

Strong Start to the Fall Season for OBEN Travel Soccer
The club would like to thank the volunteers and supporters of their booths at this year's most enjoyable Oyster Fest. What a great time to be living in Oyster Bay! Although the intramural teams missed playing over the weekend, the travel teams were hard at it further afield. Here is an update on the last two weekends' games.
