Barque Europa to Visit Oyster Fest
This year's biggest Oyster Festival sponsor is the NY Islanders! Owned by Charles Wang and Sanjay Kumar of Computer Associates, their pennant will be flying over the Barque Europa, as she sails into Oyster Bay Harbor the weekend of Oct. 13 and 14.
ESL Volunteers Needed
The Hispanic Cultural Center is actively seeking to recruit community volunteers to teach English as a second language. The HCC is a grass roots non-profit [501 (C)- 3, tax deductible] organization founded in 1997 in Oyster Bay.
Swim-A-Cross: It's Not a Race
Many local residents took part in this year's Red Cross Swim-A-Cross held on Friday, Aug. 17 at Bayville's Centre Island Beach.
