The Friends Academy boys varsity lacrosse team made the Nassau county playoffs. Coached by Kal Wynot, the team unfortunately lost a hard fought game to Bethpage in the first round. Juniors Keith Regelmann and Tim Dooley received honorable mention all county and senior Pete Williamson, juniors Dwight Phyall and Joe Mauri and sophomore Brad Neuman received all conference honors. The team was captained by seniors Ryan Collins, Will Gardiner and Pete Williamson.
Friends Academy is very proud to announce that several members of the girls varsity lacrosse team, coached by Georgette Trott and Amanda Golding, received Nassau County honors. Katie Fahey was one of the only two juniors to be named all county. Senior Pam Karches and freshman Alexis Maruca were named all conference; senior Heather Tilton was named a scholar/athlete and senior Hadley Mongell was the recipient of the Unsung Hero award.
The Friends Academy golf team was one of 12 teams to qualify for the Nassau County tournament and ended the season ranked 8th out of 38 teams in Nassau County. Two members of the team received all county honors. Senior Kevin Seibert tied for 12th in the county tournament and sophomore Chris Holmes, tied for sixth, qualifying him for the New York State Tournament held at Cornell University. At the states, Chris shot an 84 and a 79, placing him 33rd out of the 99 best players in the state. The team is coached by Ward Seibert and Mike DeSchryver.
