It's A Matter of Convenience
With five of the proposed nine Town of Oyster Bay-owned locations for cell phone towers located on the North Shore, there is great interest locally on what the town board decision will be. Town of Oyster Bay officials held an old-fashioned town meeting for residents to speak up on the issue of cell tower locations on town property on Tuesday, April 24 in the town hearing room. The meeting began at 7 p.m. and ended after 11 p.m.

MNM Cheerleaders Win Trophy
The cheerleaders at Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf know that they do not need the loudest cheers or most squad members to rouse a crowd. Living with deafness, they have determination and enthusiasm engrained into their character. On March 31, eight members of the Mill Neck Manor Cheerleading Squad brought their strong spirit to the Colonial Cheer Challenge at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA.

OBEN PAL Track Results for April 28 Meet at Seaford High School
OBEN PAL Track Team, under the direction of head coach Janet Ottaiano, began the 2001 spring season with approximately 35 enthusiastic runners. Parental assistance is always greatly appreciated, and the coaches would like to thank Fred Hoffman, Carrie Negrinelli and Mike Bentley for their recent efforts. The next meet will be on May 5 at 9 a.m., Mitchel Field. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m.
