TR Cornerstone of Methodist Celebration
The ghost of Theodore Roosevelt will be visiting East Norwich on May 5. James Foote, TR impersonator will be leading a parade to the Community United Methodist Church on Route 106, for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone for the church. It originally took place on May 18, 1901 and was presided over by then Vice-President Theodore Roosevelt.

OBCA Forum on Hess Proposal
The Oyster Bay Civic Association will hold a forum to discuss the Hess expansion on May 17. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month at the Italian-American Club on Summit Street starting at 7:30 p.m.

Grenville Baker Boys Hoops Champions
The Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club's basketball season came to a sudden end with four championship games played in only two days. The late season snowstorm was responsible for postponing a few games, but all were rescheduled in a timely fashion.

OBHS Track Team Opens Season
The Oyster Bay High School boys track team began its season on Thursday, March 29 at North Shore High School. Competing against the host Vikings and the Malverne Mules in a meet that was originally scheduled for March 27, the Baymen took second to North Shore among the three teams.
