Downtown Revitalization Questions
The mention of downtown revitalization opened the floor for questions, at the Friends of the Bay annual meeting on March 31 at the Sagamore Yacht Club. Members had questions about developments in the hamlet: the Lizza senior housing project, the expansion of the Hess Station and Commander Oil each leave questions that need to be answered.

Friends Academy Senior Is a Scholar/Athlete
Friends Academy senior Candace Arthur was recently named an EAB/News Channel 12 Scholar/Athlete. An outstanding athlete and student, Candace is captain of both the indoor and outdoor teams. She is an All American in the 4x400 relay, a New York State Champion in the 200m, and received All County and All Conference honors in both indoor and outdoor track. She has also been named Friends Academy's Most Valuable Runner for the past three years.

Green Vale School Winter Sports Awards
Winter sports awards were presented to 36 boys and girls in grades 5 through 9 at the Green Vale School on March 14. The student athletes were awarded for most improvement, outstanding offense, defense or rookie of the year. Inter-scholastic teams for the winter season included six basketball teams and an ice hockey team. Intramural programs included indoor tennis, squash and physical fitness.
