Tom Said: 'Let There Be Oysters!'
Oyster Festival 2001 is getting closer to becoming a reality. The full membership of the Oyster Bay Rotary has to make a final decision to run it and then give the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce a proposal of what they want from them. The chamber owns electrical wires, a kiosk, signs and the computer software that organizes the festival. The board will then look at the request for help and vote on what they will provide.

Three Guys and a Lady (Christeen)
The Christeen Oyster Sloop Preservation Corporation recognized the contributions of New York State Senator Carl Marcellino, Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor John Venditto and volunteer Richard Hans in restoring the national historic landmark boat by awarding them honorary memberships in the organization.

Town Holds Line on Fees at Tappen and Roosevelt Marinas
Oyster Bay Town Councilman Angelo A. Delligatti recently announced that the Oyster Bay Town Board has approved the schedule of fees for the 2001 season at Harry Tappen and Theodore Roosevelt Marinas that holds the line on 1999 rates at Tappen and at 1998 rates at Theodore Roosevelt.
