Oyster Bay in the Civil War
Women in hoop skirts and capes and men in blue, Union Civil War uniforms stood outside of Raynham Hall Museum the evening of Nov. 11. The re-enactors were there for the opening of the new exhibit, recalling 136 years ago. It is America's past at "Our Village Was All Astir: Oyster Bay and the Civil War Front" as seen by the residents of Oyster Bay and Raynham Hall, at 20 West Main Street, Oyster Bay.

Green Vale's Field Hockey Wins MFHL Championship!
Green Vale's Field Hockey Team, by a score of 2-1, defeated The Chapin School in the final round of the Metropolitan Field Hockey League Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Asphalt Green in Manhattan. The victory is especially gratifying to the Green Vale team because they were the only team playing that is not a high school varsity team. Green Vale's seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders rose to the occasion and played with great team spirit and determination.

Girls Intramural Basketball Registration Now in Progress
The Boys and Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich is running its girls intramural basketball again this year. Registration began on Saturday, Nov. 4 and is currently in progress. This program is open to all girls in grades four through eight. The grades will be split into two divisions, fourth and fifth and sixth through eighth.
