Oyster Festival 2000: Something for Everyone!
There is something for everyone at Oyster Festival 2000. If you want to taste delectable morsels from the sea, sail the harbor on the historic "Christeen" Oyster Sloop, listen to music that suits every taste or merely browse the Arts and Crafts from across the country, you will find all that and more at the 17th Annual Oyster Festival. It takes place in the hamlet of Oyster Bay on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Bernstein Hardware Stays!
The more things change, the more they stay the same. That's good news in Oyster Bay where two hardware stores have thrived for four generations. Bernstein's is renting space from Island Properties, who recently purchased the building.

OBEN Wildcats Take First Place in Ref-Fuel Soccer Tournament
The weekend of Aug. 26, 27 the U-14 Wildcats took first place with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss in the East Meadow tournament. In the first game they defeated Rockville Centre 2-0. Nick Chakiryan and Brian Sheehy scored the goals. Their second game against Dix Hills resulted in a 3-0 victory. Nick Chakiryan scored a goal and Fabian Santibanez scored two. Brendan Williams debuted as goalie and played superbly resulting in two shutout games.
