Oyster Bay = A Quality Community
Lt. Governor Mary Donohue, chair of Governor Pataki's Quality Communities Task Force held the seventh roundtable, public-forum sessions in Long Island at Briarcliffe College. The forums are being held in an effort to gather input and insight from the public, business community, local govenrments and environmental and civic organizations on how best to foster the partnerships that lead to quality community development in New York State.

Publisher Karl. V. Anton, Jr. Dies at 81
Karl V. Anton, Jr., publisher and editor-in-chief of Anton Community Newspapers, died Saturday morning at his home in North Merrick with his wife Angela Susan Anton by his side. His death followed a short illness of cancer. He was 81 years old.

Harbor Cleanup Benefits Everyone
It was a busy Saturday morning , June 3, as volunteers helped cleanup Oyster Bay Harbor. The annual cleanup was the work of the North Oyster Bay Baymen's Association in conjunction with the Town of Oyster Bay, the Atlantic Steamer Dive Team, the Mill River Rod and Gun Club, Oyster Bay Anglers and Friends of the Bay.
