Sexual Harassment in the Work Place
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District suspended Elia (Al) DeBlasio from his job as head custodian of the Roosevelt Elementary School on Jan. 5. He was charged with unauthorized use of school district property (chairs and tables); using school district equipment while taking left over mulch to his home; sexual harassment including menacing; false time reporting; absence from the workplace and misrepresentation of hours worked; possession of pornographic materials, magazines and videos kept on school property and disrupting the teaching process during an 18 month period.

William Crowe Retires From Village Board
The Muttontown Board meeting ended on a sad note as Mayor Richard Murcott announced that this was the last meeting for board member William Crowe, Jr. He has served the village for more than 25 years.

PAL Girls End 2000 Softball Season Undefeated
The Oyster Bay-East Norwich PAL girls grades 4, 5, and 6 softball season ended on Tuesday, June 13. This year, team #2, the Baby Blue team, sponsored by Fleet Bank of Oyster Bay, walked away the undefeated champions with a record of 11-0. This year the girls were led by the coaching staff of Bob Kelly, Derick Oliver and Chris Feldman.

OBHS Seventh Grade Baseball Team Scores 9-2
The Oyster Bay High School 7th grade baseball team, finished their last game, winning against Garden City on Friday, June 2. They ended the season with nine wins and two losses!
