Who Will Own McCoun's Lane?
Oyster Bay Cove passed a resolution to give McCoun's Lane and the portion of Split Rock Road they own, to the Town of Oyster Bay. Mayor Michael Peragine said the village would save money getting rid of the roads, which have been a problem to maintain.

Faith Community First to be Challenged
The religious community of Oyster Bay received a challenge on May 1. Mary DiSario of Teens for BOB and BOBCAT, (the Better Oyster Bay Community Action Team) asked each group attending the annual Interreligious and Human Needs Council dinner on May 1, to sponsor one night during the summer to our teens. She asked them to provide ten volunteers to help at the night time programs held at Theodore Roosevelt Beach Tuesdays and Thursdays during July and August.

Set Sail in Oyster Bay This Summer
Once again, the Boys & Girls Club of OB-EN will offer Sail Oyster Bay, a high-quality, affordable sailing program, to the youth of the community. Sail Oyster Bay is sponsored by the Oyster Bay Sailing Foundation and will run in cooperation with Oyster Bay Sailing School. The program was such a big hit last summer that Oyster Bay Sailing Foundation decided to expand enrollment and add an intermediate level of instruction.
