Lucky Sloop Coming to Oyster Fest XVII
The Providence, a 110 ft. replica of a Revolutionary War Sloop, will be a featured attraction at the 17th Oyster Festival. It will be arriving at the Oyster Bay Marine Center on Friday, Oct. 13, and will be greeted with a Revolutionary flair in keeping with the history of the boat and the village.

Bullying Can Be Stamped Out
Dr. Barry McNamara brought the message that bullying is being recognized for the scourge it really is, and that there is hope. As philospher Martin Buber said, when you identify a sin, you are on the way to resolving it. The bullying expert was brought to the district through the efforts of Judi Pullman, Oyster Bay-East Norwich PTA Council President.

Laural Hollow's David Reiner on Tennis Committee
Ron Horowitz of Kings Point, David Reiner of Laurel Hollow and Steven J. Goldstein of Jericho are co-chairs of the Tennis Committee for Swing for Kids IX, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts' Annual Golf and Tennis Tournament. The popular tournament takes place at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho and The Creek in Locust Valley on Monday, June 12. SFK's general chairman is Peter Tilles (Mill Neck) of The Tilles Investment Company. The event's honorees are Sandra and Howard Tytel of Matinecock. Howard Tytel is executive vice president and a director of SFX Entertainment. Sandra Tytel is a member of the executive committee of Tilles Center's Council of Overseers. Proceeds from the successful tournament benefit the Arts Education Program offered by Tilles Center.
