Hallock Gets Thumbs Up Vote
The Hallock application for a Special Use Permit got thumbs up from members of the Oyster Bay Civic Association. The group voted in a secret ballot election to see how the membership felt about the 112-unit assisted living facility for seniors on South Street.

Oyster Bay High Schoolers Score in Running Club Trail Relay
Oyster Bay High school speedsters Ed McNamara, Antonia Laino and Lynda Bradley comprised one of more than a hundred teams that competed in the 3 runner by 2 mile Trail Relay hosted by the Greater Long Island Running Club and its racing team at Bethpage State Park on Sunday, March 5. The "Baymen" did very well indeed, capturing ninth place out of 35 teams in the coed open division.

Town Holds Line on Marina Fees
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto announced that the Oyster Bay Town Board has approved a schedule of fees for the 2000 season at Harry Tappen and Theodore Roosevelt Marinas that holds the line on 1999 rates at Tappen and at 1998 rates at Theodore Roosevelt.
