OBCA Presents a Public Forum
The Oyster Bay Civic Association hosted a forum for Robbie Hallock to speak to their members on the proposed assisted living facility to be built on his South Street property and the Burtis Avenue parking lot. Residents of Sampson Street came out to support the Hallock plan.

OBEN Students to Catch More zzzzzs
Students at Oyster Bay High School should be able to catch a few more "zzzzs" in the September 2000 to June 2001 school calendar year. The federal government recently made a statement that high school students need more sleep. The change at OBHS will help a few of them get a bit more.

Play Ball at the NSS Nursery Pre-K
Students in the North Shore Synagogue Nursery School Pre-K class, taught by Karen Walczuk and Anne Kaplan, get a workout in the playroom. North Shore Synagogue is a Reform congregation serving Syosset, Woodbury, Plainview, Oyster Bay, Hicksville and Jericho.

Locust Valley Teens Ski at Camelback
The Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club teen members traveled to Camelback Ski Mountain, located around two hours away in Pennsylvania. The teens enjoyed a day full of skiing Camelback Mountain followed by a "hearty" meal at a local restaurant.
