Fine Tuning the Sloop Christeen
While the Town of Oyster Bay has torn down the building where the Christeen was being repaired, they have provided the restored Oyster Sloop with a free berth at the town marina. They have also provided new "digs" for the COSPC volunteers to continue their work making the sloop "shipshape."

User Friendly NC Government
Presiding Officer Judy Jacobs told the audience in her induction address that things will change. The important thing was, "To involve citizens in their own government. To facilitate that, the first thing they would do was to adopt new rules to give the public greater insights on what the Legislature is doing and why it is doing it," she said.

PAL Girls Basketball Playoff Champions
On Dec. 11 the OB-EN PAL girls basketball league held their final playoff game. Team #1, the green team and team #3, the navy blue team made it to the final round. It was a very exciting game.

Locust Valley Junior Falcons Champs Again
The Locust Valley Middle School football team just completed an undefeated 6-0 season. The Falcons defeated Mineola 20-14, Oyster 31-0, Carle Place 32-13, North Shore 24-20, Jericho 41-0, and Roslyn 45-7. This is the second year in a row that the Falcons had an undefeated season and the third in four years. The Middle School Falcons' win streak is now at 12.
