  • NEWS: Mill River Road Cell Tower Approved

    The Oyster Bay Water District, fee owner, and Sprint Spectrum L.P. d/b/a Spring PCS, have received permission from the Town of Oyster Bay to install, maintain and operate an existing cellular antenna array on top of an existing elevated water tank and a proposed communications equipment shelter at Plant No. 4, located on the easterly side of Mill River Road.     Eighteen-year-old Eric Soriero of Bayville closed out the Long Island cross country season in style, leading his Chaminade team to victory in Rob's Run, a 5 Kilometer Cross Country race held at the Town of Oyster Bay's Stillwell Woods Park in Syosset on Nov. 28. FULL STORY

  • SPORTS: Street Hockey Clinic in Locust Valley

    A free NY Islanders "Runnin' Waves" street hockey clinic was held at Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club on Nov. 15. Twenty-one youngsters enthusiastically greeted their coach for the day, NY Islander, Eric Brewer. Eric conducted numerous passing and shooting drills with clinic participants and then coached them through a game. He answered questions about hockey and himself, then signed autographs.
