Nine Acre Park Plugs Budget
The Town of Oyster Bay voted on Nov. 9, to sell itself nine acres of land in Plainview to fill a budget gap. While the town had said they had a balanced $142 million budget - it needed an $8 million fix to "make the town whole." That was the phrase used by Councilman Angelo Delligatti in response to a question from Herb Karp, a frequent attendee of town board meetings.

Chelsea Center Entry a Possibility
The Muttontown Zoning Board of Appeals proved themselves to be sensitive to the concerns of residents in their list of areas to be included in the St. Dominic's Environmental Impact Statement. There was even an implication that they would be willing to fight for what had originally appeared to be the best traffic solution for the area.

Meredith LeRoux Excels
Tufts University fall student-athletes were named to New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Star teams in field hockey, men's soccer and women's soccer this week. The teams were announced on Monday following a vote by the league's 11 head coaches in each sport.
