Historic North Shore Gets Boost
Two Long Island ladies have joined forces in a way that bodes well for the North Shore. Lori Bahnik of Oyster Bay has been appointed by the NYS Senate majority as co-chair of the Long Island North Shore Heritiage Area planning commission. Ms. Bahnik was called a "professional volunteer" by Bernadette Castro, NYS Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Sprint Sues Muttontown Over Cell Tower Moratorium
The Village of Muttontown adjourned their meeting on Monday, Nov. 8, because of lack of a quorum. Still, as this newspaper went to press, Mayor Richard Murcott said he would be available at village hall to talk to residents. One of the things he would discuss, he said was the cellular tower problem they and other villages are facing.

Baymen Lose Heartbreaker Amidst Homecoming Festivities
The Oyster Bay High School football team's 25-21 loss to Friends Academy extended its losing streak to five games after a 2-0 start. The team did play well, however, on an unusually warm late October Saturday.
