Rainbow Ends at Christeen
Nautical flags flew from the mast of the oyster sloop Christeen as she waited to be re-launched the afternoon of Oct. 2. Several hundred people were gathered at the boat launching area of Theodore Roosevelt Park waiting for the ceremony scheduled for 4 p.m.

Raffle tickets are on sale in the hamlet of Oyster Bay for the 2000 Dodge Durango that will be raffled on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Derby-Hall Bandstand as the two-day Oyster Festival closes. Only 3,000 tickets will be sold for $20 each.
Baymen Sail to 2-0 Start
Although the Jericho Jayhawks lost to the Oyster Bay Baymen 36-8 on Saturday, Sept. 25, they broke their long scoreless streak. Jericho's scoreless drought, which had lasted 10 games and 22 months, finally ended when the Jayhawks scored a touchdown in the second half of Saturday's game. However, the eight points Jericho earned for that touchdown and a safety were not nearly enough as the Baymen cruised to a 36-8 victory.
Better Than Ever...
Olivia Graham Places in Horse Show Series --
In our story in the September 9 issue of the Oyster Bay Enterprise Pilot, Olivia Graham of Oyster Bay Cove was listed as being 11 years old. The story said that on Sunday, Aug. 30, Olivia competed in the Leadline division of the Hampton Classic on her pony Glory. She took second place out of 86 contestants. She was also invited to present Short Stirrup 10-12-year-olds ribbons, and the Short Stirrup Grand Prize.
