The campaign to save the Florio house on South Street in Oyster Bay has gained some direction. Given the recently uncovered history of the house, it would qualify for Town of Oyster Bay Landmark status. FULL STORY

His co-chair, Karen DeVine of the DeVine Funeral Home, Inc., was unable to attend the meeting. There are challenges for everyone in the annual Red Cross Swim-A-Cross. Besides the daunting one mile of bay to cross, with the wind and tide to fight, there are also personal obstacles to hurdle.
