Tom Kuehhas called to identify the mystery picture. "It really is the best kept secret in Oyster Bay," he said. "A secret I want to let out of the bag!

"It is the garden behind the Earle-Wightman House that is lovingly cared for by the members of the North Country Garden Club. In the center of the bed of flowers is a reproduction of a bee skep."

That was a colonial convention, where bees were lured to stop and help pollinate the flowers in the garden.

Billy Minicozzi guessed it was a flower bed at Bailey's Arboretum, which was a great suggestion. We hope you've been there.

Do you know where this week's picture was taken? If you do, call the Enterprise-Pilot at 747-8282 and let us know. If you have a picture that you think might be interesting for others to guess, drop it off in our box at Village Camera, 128 South Street, Oyster Bay.
