John DeJesu called and said, "It is a view from the water side of the Oyster Bay Marine Center and to the right is the Sagamore Yacht Club." Right.

Big Mike helped Billy Minicozzi with the ID. "It's looking at the Oyster Bay Yacht Service." He also corrected the caption of the Bayville Fire Department clam bake. The correct names are George Baker and Chief Tim Placilla.

"It's the Sagamore Yacht Club from the water," said Keri Michie, a student at OBHS going into 11th grade. She is reading Pandora and is looking forward to her social studies classes in September.

Nicole Tsurovakas correctly identified "The Sagamore Yacht Club."

Joe Paruolo said, "It's the Sagamore Yacht Club in the distance and up front is the Oyster Bay Marine Center." Mr. Paruolo was at Beekman Beach the day his son tried out with the new Oyster Bay High School students rowing the eight.

Bob Kramer of Oyster Bay called and not only knew where the picture was taken, but recognized the boat. It is something of a minor success story, he said. It is called Tow Boat US and is owned by his son Mitch, who has been in business in town since he got out of college, 14 years ago. He recently got married and bought a house in East Norwich.

Mitch had his first boat when he was 10, and his first motor boat at 13. He developed a sense of boating early. Now he runs three boats: one out of Oyster Bay, another in Connecticut and one in Northport. He went through the Oyster Bay school system, said his proud dad.

Mitch Kramer helped pick up the Christeen, when it was stuck in the silt, on her side, in Mill Neck Creek. He is part of the Christeen, said his father. He is just an Oyster Bay person. "I am biased, as his father. But, he is just a good person."

He is a reflection of his parents, Bob and Joan Kramer of Oyster Bay. Their daughter Lynn lives in a co-op at the Top of the Harbor in Oyster Bay.

Mitch has a tremendous bottle collection. "He's a macho guy, but he has an incredible bottle collection from his dives in Oyster Bay," quipped his father.
