It's time to apologize for not getting everything in the newspaper as soon as I and you would wish. This week there was so much going on that I spent lots of time out in the field collecting material and taking photographs that it cut down on my time at the computer.
There are more stories and pictures coming. They are wonderful to share and I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I like writing them.
You'll have to wait to hear about them. If I talk about them, sometimes I lose that initial enthusiasm and I feel as if I have already done them and there goes the interest.
So, next week's paper is already in the hopper. It's going to be a good issue.
We hope you enjoy this issue. The Centre Island fire certainly touched on a great many areas. Maybe the one we should talk about is how lucky we are to have the great fire fighting teams we have. Someone commented, I think it was Mayor Jack Williams, on how well the different companies work together.
That is seen as the Centre Island story unfolded. I am just sorry I couldn't have spoken to all the fire companies. I am sure there are a lot more great stories out there.
At least I have shared with you what I have learned. It's a great area to be able to live, work, and play in! I'm sure you all agree.
