Atlantic Steamer Fire Company Donates $1,000 to Boys & Girls Club of OBEN From Flag Football

The Atlantic Steamer Fire Company No. 1 hosted its first Flag Football Tournament and raised about $1,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich. The event took place on Saturday, Nov. 29 at the playing fields of the Vernon Middle School in East Norwich.

"We had great weather with temperatures approaching 50 degrees," said ASFC Chief Frank Ozol.

"Teams from Atlantic Steamer, Oyster Bay Company No. 1, East Norwich Fire Department, Syosset Fire Department, Glen Cove Fire Department and Sea Cliff Fire Department all participated.

Cheerleaders from the Boys and Girls Club came out to show their support for the host team. "It was greatly appreciated," said Chief Frank Ozol.

Refreshments were provided by Warren Hults of "Warrens Weenies."
