More than 100 golfers will come together to create a truly magnificent day as the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center is set to honor Stuart S. Ball at its second annual Golf Outing on Monday, Aug. 2 at the fabulous Sands Point Golf Club in Sands Point.
The golfers will not only take to the links, but also make it possible for the Holocaust Center to continue its indispensable work of promoting tolerance and compassion for all people through its Holocaust and Tolerance Workshops. These unique workshops use the lessons of the Holocaust to demonstrate graphically the destructiveness of prejudice and racism, and provide techniques for changing these behaviors. More than 35,000 adults, middle and high school students participated in these workshops just in the past year. Our middle and high school programs are available to schools free of charge.
The Center has opened its fabulous new museum and library complete with computer access to Holocaust databases around the world. The success of events such as the Golf Outing is critical to the Center’s ability to offer these powerful programs and facilities.
