In what has become an annual tradition at Meadow Drive Elementary School, students and staff hosted the third annual hockey tournament on Jan. 17. The school-wide activity involves all students and staff members forming teams to compete for a hockey title and the designation of most valuable player.
The second-grade team, dubbed the “Orange Eagles,” were the highest scoring student team, although they did not make it to the final round. Organized by physical education teacher Christine Grayson, a total of seven student teams and six teacher/staff teams played in the tournament that showcased fun and athleticism from staff and students.
