The Mineola Mustangs enjoyed a decent start to its season. They defeated Oyster Bay 35-0 for third victory this past Saturday, bringing its record to 3-2. This is a very young Mineola team, at times starting as many as eight or nine underclassmen on each side of the ball.
The Mustangs came into this season as a 12 seed out of 14 teams. They have shown that they are much better than that seed as they suffered a very tough loss to 6 seed Clarke by a score of 10-7 and then defeated 4 seed North Shore in its exciting 29-26 victory.
