An Open Letter to the Residents Of Mineola

I wanted to say it is very humbling and flattering to comprehend the power of the voting booth. I am truly grateful to all the voters that gave my campaign a satisfying end. I want to thank the others that have come before me.

They all stepped up to be a positive inspiration for contributing to the common good of the village. They had a passion for what they believe in and worked hard for results. I hope I have honored those standards with my campaign.

There are many people to thank that unselfishly offered assistance to my campaign. They include seasoned campaign professionals, my friends, and my close neighbors Tom and Denise Retta.

Tom’s initial idea and his encouragement prompted me to think of running then with the additional encouragement that I had received from those I met along the way, made my first campaign very special.

We live in a village that cares about its future. Your efforts to have your opinions and voice be heard are critical to charting a good course for Mineola.

Now that the decision has been made continue to have your voices heard by keeping the board accountable to us by staying involved. I will be staying involved along with the Mustang party, a new party that is open to concerned citizens as a forum for new ideas.

Together we can protect the past, honor the present, and shape the future. I wish the new board well. It was a privilege to run alongside these excellent men in our noble pursuit of public office.

Most importantly, I thank the outstanding residents of our village for their time and support for me in this election.

Christopher J. Wales
