Dean A. LaLima, of Albertson, tragically passed away at the age of 41 on Aug. 12. Manager of Grimaldi’s Restaurant in Garden City, LaLima was the son of John and Janis, brother of Robynelaine (Steven) Kostulias, godfather and uncle of Nicholas, Jesse and Steven Kelly.

Mary Etta (Meb Gleckler) Martin, the wife of Charles P. Martin and resident of Trumbull, CT died on July 13, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Born in Mineola, New York on January 6, 1931, the daughter of Harry and Margaret (Dolliver) Gleckler, she is survived by her husband and their seven children and their spouses: Cathleen and Vincent Prespentt of Farmington, New Mexico; Chuck and Julie of Waterford, Connecticut; Maureen and Tony Riggsbee of Youngsville, North Carolina; Tim and Maria of Plano, Texas; Theresa and Pete O’Callaghan of South Glastonbury, Connecticut; Pat of Seymour, Connecticut and Michael and Sharon of Seymour, Connecticut. She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Margaret (Gleckler) Brose of Bellarie Bluffs, Florida; her brother Calvin Gleckler of Old Bethpage, New York, her brother-in-law James Martin and his wife Jacqueline of Pompano Beach, Florida; her sister-in-law Loretta Gleckler of Bayshore, New York, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by both of her parents and her brother Harry Gleckler.
Vincent A. Lupinacci of Mineola passed away on July 13, 2012. (Retired Detective NYPD, 32 years of service at 20th Pct., many years as Community Affairs Officer). Husband of the late Gladys. Father of Mary Ann, Anthony, Lisa, Michael and Ernest. Grandfather of Matthew, Paolo, Isabella and Georgia. Brother of Yolanda Sondi. Antoinette McCormack, longtime Mineola resident and clerk of the village court from 1978 to 1995 passed away on June 21, 2012 after a long illness. She was 88 years old.
Known affectionately to everyone as Teddy, she was born, along with her twin sister, Fran, in Westbury, to Erminia and Pasquale Siniscalchi on June 13, 1924. Since it was the Feast of St. Anthony, her parents named her Antoinette. Teddy remained devoted to St. Anthony all her life. Teddy was one of 11 brothers and sisters which included the late Anthony Sinisccalchi, Madeline Southard, Ernestine Walther, Joseph Sinischalchi. Mary Mosso, Thersese Wachter and Ann Rottkamp.
Irene Elizabeth Tringali, 89, of Duluth, GA, formerly of Mineola, died on March 24, 2012. Beloved wife of the late John (WWII veteran). Devoted mother of Dorothy Serio (Robert) and Joanne Snopkowski. Cherished grandmother of Christopher J. Cestaro, Geoffrey V. Cestaro, Thomas Snopkowski, Michael Weiss, Lisa Renz, Kim Byrne and the late Giro Cestaro III. Dear great-grandmother of five. Anna M. Sondovitz, of Albertson, died on Jan. 9, 2012 at age 94. Wife of the late Jack. Mother of Raymond (Heather and the late Annette), Stephanie (the late Bob) and Kenneth (Jeannette). Thomas Joseph Reina, 93, passed away on Jan. 13, 2012. He was an honorable WWII disabled veteran in the U.S. Army Engineering Corps and past commander of the DAV Pvt. S.A. Sanzone #110. He was owner of Superior Welding and had a 28-year career in the New York City branch of the USPS as the dispatch manager. He most wanted to be remembered as a devoted husband of Violet, father to Cecelia, Sandy and the late MaryAnn, grandfather of eight and as “one who loved his fellow man.” Arrangements were made by Weigand Bros. John J. Coyle, of Mineola, age 45, passed away on Dec. 12, 2011. John was the president and owner of Pathways to Independent Living. He committed his life to helping the elderly and disabled. John is the loving son of John and Cecelia Coyle of Port Washington. Beloved brother of Dr. Christina Coyle (husband Dr. Charles Noyer); Dora Coyle Barbaro (husband Craig Barbaro) and his twin brother, Michael Coyle. A wonderful uncle to Craig Anthony, Nicholas, Nicole and Olivia. John was a graduate of Chaminade H.S. and Brooklyn College. Arrangements were made by the Macken Mortuary, Rockville Centre Chapel.
