Summer Recreation for Children/Youth

Mineola Youth and Family Services Summer Recreation welcomes children entering third through eighth grade. Enjoy arts and crafts, sports and local trips like: bowling, movies and Q-Zar. Programs will be held through Aug. 14: Mondays 1:30 to 4 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Wilson Park and in the Mineola Village Hall gym inclement weather days. Rev Up Your Hearing Aids

Advanced Hearing Center, 1163 Willis Ave., Albertson, is launching a series of free hearing aid optimization monthly workshops for those with hearing aids and their companions. Nassau Pops Concert

The Nassau Pops Orchestra, featuring Conductor Louis Panacciulli, will perform an outdoor concert of the best in popular and light classical music. Joining the Nassau Pops are singers Jack and Ann Cassin who will present favorite selections from Broadway. Rain or shine. The park is handicapped accessible. LI Breakfast Club

The LI Breakfast Club is an organization providing advocacy, support, career and employment counseling, referrals and good old-fashioned laughter to prepare experienced mature individuals for productive employment.
