Starting next week, registration will be open for all Mineola Athletic Association (MAA) programs for spring 2009. Programs include soccer, baseball, softball and cheerleading.

Online Registration

For the first time, the MAA introduced online registration for all programs. Register any day at any time from your home computer. You can even print a receipt. All you need is Internet access and a credit card.

Simply log on to www.mineolaaa.org and follow the "Registration" links.

Online registration begins Saturday, Nov. 1 and will be available 24 hours a day thru Dec. 21. Any registration request after Dec. 31 is subject to a 2009 rate increase and solely dependent on roster availability to be sure to take advantage of this convenient online registration.

Spring 2009 Intramural Soccer

Expanded boys and girls intramural programs - ages 4 through 11years old (must be 4 before Dec. 31, 2009; cannot be 12 years old before Dec. 31, 2009).

Take advantage of the "Early Bird Special." Register before the end of December and pay 2008 registration fees for soccer ($60) and the soccer uniform ($40). Non-residents must pay a Village of Mineola "facilities use fees" in addition to MAA registration fees. (This registration is not intended for travel teams.)

"In-Person" soccer registration only will be held at the MAA House, located off Willis Avenue, between Searing and 2nd Street on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. There will be the only "in-person" registration dates available. No mail-in registration will be accepted.

Spring 2009 Little League Baseball

Boys and girls - 5 through 16 years old (must be 5 in 2009). T-ball for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten; Farms Pitching Marching for first grade; Farms Kids Pitch for second grade; Minors for third and fourth grades; Majors for fifth and sixth grades; Juniors for seventh, eighth and ninth grades; seniors for 10th and 11th grades.

Spring 2009 Softball

Girls - 7 through 15 years old (must be 7 in 2009). This is for intramural-level travel teams - some games are played within 5-10 miles of Mineola.

Spring 2009 Cheerleaders

Girls - 5 through 12 years old (must be 5 in 2009). (Non-resident fee does not apply to cheerleaders.)

Take advantage of the early-bird special for baseball, softball and cheerleading. Register before the end of December and pay 2008 registration fees.

Fees for Little League baseball are: T-Ball and Farms ($65); Minors and Majors ($100); Juniors and Seniors ($150). Uniforms and socks are an extra fee.

Fees for Softball are: 7 to 8 years old ($65 including shirt and visor); 9 and older ($85 including shirt and shorts).

Fees for Cheerleaders are $30 with another $30 fee for the cheerleader uniform.

Non-residents must pay a Village of Mineola "facilities use fee" of $25 per child, per program in addition to MAA registration fees for baseball and softball.

"In-Person" registration for 2009 baseball, softball and cheerleading only will take place at the MAA House, located off Willis Avenue between Searing Avenue and 2nd Street, on Monday, Nov. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.

These will be the only "In-Person" registration dates available. No mail-in registrations will be accepted.
