Police are seeking a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred in Mineola on Wednesday, July 2 at 11:40 a.m.
According to police, a suspect entered Roslyn Savings Bank, located at 411 Jericho Turnpike and presented the teller with a demand note. Police said the teller complied and handed the subject an undisclosed amount of cash. The subject then fled the bank on foot, heading eastbound on Jericho Turnpike, police said.
There were 11 employees and one customer in the bank at the time and no injuries. No weapon was displayed.
The subject is described as a white male, 5'10'' to 6'0'', mid to late 30s, medium build, wearing blue jeans, a gray sweat shirt and baseball hat.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
Roslyn Savings Bank was also robbed on June 11, 2007.
In addition, Commerce Bank, located at Jericho Turnpike and Herricks Road, was robbed on March 27 and Citibank, located at 199 2nd Street, was robbed on Feb. 23.
