Senior attacker Alison Carnabuci (Mineola High School, Class of 2004) led the Marist College Red Foxes (10-8) to their first ever Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference women's lacrosse championship with a 10-9 victory against top seeded Fairfield University (17-2) on April 27 at Iona College's Mazzella Field.

Carnabuci, the Red Foxes' second leading goal scorer, put her team ahead with a goal during a comeback from an 8-4 deficit. The Red Foxes will advance to the NCAA Division I women's lacrosse tournament with a game at Colgate University at a date and time to be determined.

Alison was named to the All-MAAC team for the second year in a row and is a member of the MAAC All-Academic team for the third consecutive season. She scored 30 goals in 2008 after 43 goals as a junior. She is a member of a groundbreaking group of Mineola girls lacrosse alumni to continue their athletic careers at Division I, II and III colleges.
