Ronald E. Rentel passed away on Dec. 2, 2007 at the age of 76. Ron was a hardworking man with a strong faith in God. A graduate of Queens College and an MP sergeant in the US Army, he worked for over 30 years as an executive in the garment industry. During his retirement years, he held a variety of jobs and made many new friends along the way. In his final days, Ron was blessed to be in the care of his daughter Debbie Slater and her family. He is also survived by his daughter Marilyn Weickert, son Ronald Jr., brother Bill Rentel and 15 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 87th Ave. and Commonwealth Blvd., Bellerose, at 11 a.m. on Jan. 19. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that contributions be made to a person, cause or charity that is important to you.
