Eich's Music Talents Show on First CD
Mineola resident Byran Eich's first CD, entitled Sleeping By a Wire, represents the love of music he has had since he first starting playing guitar when he was 13 years old. Now, as a finished work, Eich hopes that his new CD catches some ears.

Congregation Beth Sholom Chabad Buries Damaged Torah
On Thursday morning, Aug. 2, Rabbi Anchelle Perl and Congregation Beth Sholom Chabad of Mineola, located on the corner of Willis Avenue and Washington Avenue, held a ceremony to say farewell to a sacred Torah scroll that was damaged in a flood resulting from the severe rainstorm that occurred the morning of July 18.

Rodrigues Warms Up at Empire State Games
Nuno Rodrigues, a two-year varsity starter for the Mineola Mustangs boys soccer team, dominated play for the Long Island scholastic team at the recently completed 2007 Empire State Games in Westchester County. The Empire State Games are an annual event that follows an Olympics-style format for supremacy in New York State.
