Police are searching for suspects in three separate bank robberies, one of which occurred in Mineola on Monday, June 11.
According to police, at 10:25 a.m., a subject described as a white male, 5'10", about 35 years old, medium build and complexion, wearing a dark blue T-shirt, New York Mets baseball cap and dark sunglasses entered the Roslyn Savings Bank, located at 411 Jericho Turnpike on the west end of the village. Police said the suspect presented a note demanding money to a teller.
Police said that after obtaining an unknown amount of money, the subject fled on foot out the front door heading west on Jericho Turnpike.
There were 10 employees and one customer present and no injuries were reported.
On the same day, an hour later, police reported a bank robbery occurred at 1111 Willis Avenue in Albertson.
According to police, a subject described as a white male, 6', 200 pounds, wearing a tan baseball cap and plaid golf shirt, entered the Bank of America and made a verbal demand to a teller for money, while displaying a black handgun.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the subject fled on foot out the front door heading north on Willis Avenue. There were five employees and two customers present with no injuries reported.
Two days later, at 2:15 p.m. on June 13, police reported a subject described as a white male, 30 years old, 5'10'' to 6', medium build, wearing a red sweatshirt, dark baseball cap on backwards, sunglasses and dark jeans, entered the North Fork Bank, located at 947 Old Country Road in Westbury, and presented a note demanding money from the teller.
According to police, after obtaining an unknown amount of money, the subject fled from the scene on foot in an unknown direction. There were seven employees and three customers present. There were no injuries.
