Marist College junior Alison Carnabuci (Mineola High School Class of 2004) was named MAAC Conference Lacrosse Player of the Week for totaling 15 points in the Red Foxes' three games during the week of April 15. She had four goals in a win over Sacred Heart, three goals and two assists in a victory over Niagara and a six goal effort in a triumph over Canisius. The 5' 4'' attacker is Marist's second leading scorer this season and leads the team in shooting percentage.

At 9-5, the Foxes have broken the program record for wins in a season and will return to the MAAC Tournament for the first time since Carnabuci's freshman season. According to head coach Noelle Cebron, Alison is a big contributor to the team's success. "She understands what is expected of her and executes it very well. She's really helped us by stepping into a positive leadership role and is focusing on letting her actions speak louder than her words." added Cebron.

The Player of the Week Award was Carnabuci's second recognition of the season after she was named Offensive Player of the Week earlier this year. In 2006, Alison was named to the Conference All-Academic team after being a four-year honor roll student with the Mustangs. Carnabuci was a four-year varsity starter and two time team captain at Mineola. She tied the school record for goals in a game as the team's leading scorer in her senior campaign. She was named Mineola Female Athlete of the Year in 2004. Alison is the daughter of Lisa and Vinnie Carnabuci of Albertson.
