On behalf of the Mineola Union Free School District Board of Education, and the parents, guardians and children who attend the Willis Avenue School, I want to thank Mayor Martins and the trustees of the Village of Mineola for unanimously approving a speed limit reduction request around the Willis Avenue School. Their actions will greatly improve the safety around the school and is another example of how a community and school can work together on our most precious resource - our children.
