On Thursday, April 12, Citibank, located at 199 East 2nd Street was robbed and now police are searching for a suspect who is also wanted for three other bank robberies.
According to police, at 6:15 p.m., while the bank was open, a subject who is described as a black female, 5'4'', early 20s, thin build and wearing a black-hooded jacket with fur around the hood, entered the bank presented the teller with a demand note that indicated she had a weapon.

The Mineola Citibank was robbed last week.

Police said the teller complied and handed the subject an undisclosed amount of cash. The subject then exited the bank through a side door and was last seen walking eastbound on 2nd Street, police said.
No weapon was displayed and there was five employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery, police said.
According to Detective Sergeant John Giambrone of the Nassau County Robbery Squad, police believe the same subject has committed three other bank robberies-one on Nov. 18, 2006 in Franklin Square, one on Feb. 16 in New Hyde Park and one on March 23 in Elmont.
According to Giambrone, from Jan. 1, 2007 to April 12, 2007, there have been 16 bank robberies is Nassau County as opposed to 24 over the same period last year.
