The Mineola High School Athletic Department congratulates the girls' varsity and junior varsity basketball teams as they were honored as the 2007 Nassau County Officials Association Sportsmanship Award winner. This honor was bestowed upon them at the officials association dinner held at the Chateau Briand on March 12.

The award signifies excellent character and sportsmanship displayed during games as voted on by all the varsity and junior varsity officials. This award is only presented to one of the 56 participating basketball programs in Nassau County.

Coaches Denise Zunno and Katherine Hock graciously received this award and were honored for their professionalism and dedication to girl's basketball by the entire officials association. As an athletic program, Mineola is always proud of the on court accomplishments of our athletes but we equally value their display of citizenship, sportsmanship and responsibility.
