All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in a competition for the 2007 Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council 2502 Free Throw Championship. The competition will be held Thursday, Jan. 25 at 6:30 pm at the Corpus Christi School Gym at 120 Searing Avenue in Mineola, which is one block south of Corpus Christi Church, east of Willis Avenue.
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district and state championship competitions. International Champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus international headquarters based on scores from the stat level competitions. All boys and girls 10 to 14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions.
All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. All participants are required to furnish proof of age and written consent. For entry forms or any additional information please contact Tommy Rudolph at 746-7393 or Grand Knight Tom Kelly at 414-2229. However, entry forms will be available at the door on that evening.
