On Friday Oct. 27 at Forest Park Golf Course in Woodhaven, Corpus Christi CYO/School held a golf outing. With over 50 golfers in attendance, the day was quite a success.
The day started out with raw weather and due to frost on the greens, tee-off had to be slightly delayed. For many of the golfers, it meant more time to enjoy the continental breakfast. The weather eventually turned beautiful and all golfers really got to enjoy the day.

The outing was co-chaired by Sean O'Connor and Tommy Rudolph. Both CYO girls and boys coordinators, Mike Falotico and Keith Gessner as well as CYO facilities coordinator Mike Hinchcliffe, assisted in the undertaking as well. The Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council 2502 had quite an impressive contingent of golfers out there, supporting Corpus Christi as they always have.
After the golfers completed the course, all were invited to the Forest Park veranda for a barbeque and a prize give-away that was second to none. They were joined by Corpus Christi Pastor Fr. Jim Bowman, Corpus Christi School Principal Mrs. Susan Anaischik and CYO's very important and very supportive moderator, Deacon John Reinhart. Also present to support us were Mineola's Mayor Jack Martins, CCS class of '81, and North Hempstead Democratic Chair Joe Galante, CCS class of '80.
The prizes were donated by Hope thru Hoops, Sean O'Connor, Hofstra University Men's Basketball coach, Tom Pecora, University of Miami Athletics Department, University of North Carolina Athletic Department, Hofstra Athletics, and Jim Roccisano of Instock Programs Ltd.
