The Wheatley Athletic Department is pleased to announce that volleyball will be introduced into its athletic program. The East Williston Board of Education has given approval to create this first-ever program, which will be started immediately. Wheatley will field a middle school girls volleyball team during the upcoming Winter I sports season. The team's first practice will be on Nov. 6 and the competitive season will start on Friday, Dec. 1, with a match against Westbury. Funding for the creation of this volleyball team became available only after this fall's JV field hockey program was cancelled due to a low turnout. FULL STORY
