The Mineola High School Sports Marketing class visited Madison Square Garden recently. Twenty students toured the world's most famous arena with a behind the scenes look that began with an informational session in The Theatre, which is the 5,000-seat arena located below the main Garden. The Theatre is used for plays, musicals, boxing and the NFL draft.
From The Theatre, the tour went through the various garden restaurants on its way to the luxury suites located at the top of the arena. The class was able to take in the view from the suites, as well as get the feel for the corporations that lease these suites. After the stay in the luxury suites, the 20 students made their way down to the main arena for a discussion on the basketball court, hockey rink and the setup times needed for the Knicks, Rangers, concerts, Westminster Dog Show and any other events that may be taking place.
The tour concluded with a look into the locker rooms of the Rangers and the Knicks.
