The Mineola girls varsity lacrosse team has had itself quite a season. The Lady Mustangs completed an undefeated (11-0) season and won the Conference II championship. Mineola completed its unbeaten season with a 17-15 win over Lynbrook. Senior Allie Kain scored a career-high seven goals, which included an insurance goal with 33 seconds left.

The loss for Lynbrook was its first of the conference season. Since a March 28 14-9 loss to Conference I power Wantagh, Mineola has run-off 12 consecutive victories. In the course of its late season push to the conference title, senior Kasey Hughes scored 6 goals three games in a row in wins over Floral Park (15-12), Long Beach (18-8) and Oceanside (10-8).

Mineola earned a spot in the playoffs. The Mustangs were to host Cold Spring Harbor at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17.

The mineola boys varsity track and field team competed in the Frank Maier Invitation at North Shore High School and brought home a total of 11 medals. The 4X800 relay team of Tobin George, Chris Vera, Danny Sandhes and Claudio Dematos took first place with a time of 9:40. Dematos also won the 3,200 meters in a time of 11:14, which was the fastest time by a Mineola athlete in more than 22 years. Rob Kiss medaled in both the shot put and discus. Dave Gouveia earned medals in the discus and Rob Olszewski medaled in the shot put. Danny Sanches took fourth in the 1,600 meters while Tobin George took the Bronze medal in the high jump.
