Village Board to Meet Saturday for Next Police Hearing
Mineola Mayor Jack M. Martins and the Village of Mineola Board of Trustees have scheduled another hearing pertaining to whether the village should establish its own police force on Saturday, March 4 at 11 a.m. in village hall, 155 Washington Avenue. The Saturday hearing provides residents who cannot attend in the evening when the other hearings have been held an opportunity to be heard on the issue.

The Mineola Intermodal Center, which is being built on the south side of the railroad track in the vicinity of Third Street between Third and Fourth Avenues and north of Old Country Road in Mineola, is beginning to take shape.

Mineola Mustangs Complete Indoor Season
The Mineola High School girls winter track and field team took fourth place in the Nassau County Championships. While many athletes earned All-County honors, only one won a county championship. Justine Boeshore was awarded the championship plaque in the pole vault. The junior also earned All-County honors. Senior Lauren Massa also earned All-County honors in the 1,500-meter race/walk.
