I am writing to notify you that two weeks after we informed you of the Feb. 28 Bond Vote, the district was notified that Governor Pataki has scheduled a special election to fill vacant assembly seat on that same date. The county polling sites will be located in Cross, Hampton and the Mineola Middle School. The county has assigned extra personnel at Cross and Hampton to facilitate and the district will work together with them to ensure that these two separate votes run as smoothly as possible.
