Walter J. Glenn, of Mineola, died on Jan. 26, 2006. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Marine Corps from 1950 to 1953. He was past president of the Board of Education, Mineola School District, coach and organizer of Mineola PBC/PAL, a member and organizer of the Mineola Booster Club from 1967 to 1983, teacher, dean and counselor at Thomas Edison High School from 1970 to 1996, Lacrosse coach at Jamaica High School from 1984 to 1993 and Cordozo High School from 1995 until the present. Beloved husband of Ruth. Devoted father of Sandy (Toni), Lisa McCann, Robert, Brian (Christine) and the late Deborah Lee. Loving grandfather of Alyssa, Emily, Kevin, Connor, Meagan and Cullum. Dear Brother of Leola Weir. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral services at the funeral home. Alicia Angelo, of Mineola, died on Feb. 6, 2006. She was an employee of the NYS Courts, Commissioner of Jurors Office, Mineola. Mother of Andrea and Anthony Angelo. Grandmother of Christopher.
